Directly across Constitution Dock sits the newest addition to Hobart’s conference offering. This multipurpose events facility offers 1,400sq metres of space suitable for dinners of up to 1,000 delegates. The venue offers the luxury of an offsite dinner venue without the hassle of transfers as delegates can walk to the venue from city and waterfront accommodation.

Princess Wharf 1 (PW1)

Home to the iconic Taste of Tasmania, Princess Wharf 1 (PW1) offers a blank canvas for dinners, cocktail parties or exhibitions. With polished concrete floors, high ceilings and views over Hobart’s waterfront, the venue offers another offsite dinner venue within walking distance of the Hobart Convention and Exhibition Centre.

As Australia’s largest privately owned museum, MONA offers multiple function spaces in and amongst classic (and not so classic) art. Dinners of up to 270 guests or cocktail functions for over 500, MONA has a range of quirky and unique event spaces. Onsite there is a microbrewery, wine bar, cellar door, library, and chapel. Ferries to MONA leave from Brooke St Pier, a short walk from the Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG)

Located directly opposite the Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) provides the ideal area for cocktail functions of up to 250 delegates. The museum’s courtyard is a great outdoor and as the original customs and excise building for colonial Hobart, the sense of history is inescapable.

City Hall and Town Halls

City Hall is ideal for dinners of up to 600 guests. The hall is located a block behind the Hobart Convention and Exhibition Centre and boasts a large raised stage ideal for band and production. Hobart’s Town Hall is slightly smaller in size but offers a classic old world ballroom complete with Pipe Organ and polished timber floors.

The above is just a small selection of venues close to the Hobart Convention and Exhibition Centre. For more information call one of our coordinators who can recommend the perfect offsite venue for your event.
