To give your delegates that all-important destination feel and experience can be challenging, even at the best of times. One sure fire way to kick start your delegates senses is by showcasing some of Tasmania’s finest beverages throughout your event. This not only gives them a delicious, much-needed thirst quencher but also sparks conversation about some of Tassie’s unique products that so many have come to know and love.
Here’s the low down on what’s hot right now, and things that you should consider to get that spirit of Tasmania into your event.
On arrival, you could request for us to create a refreshing cocktail or mocktail that’s been inspired by the Elderflower cordial produced from freshly pressed elderflowers grown at Ashbolt Farm in Tasmania’s Derwent Valley, north of Hobart. The Ashbolt Elderflower concentrate is a unique and delicate flavour with nuances of lychees and elderflower that make for a great twist in any drink. It’s a great little beverage appetizer to get people in the mood of what’s to come next.
Tasmanian wines are at an all-time high with its premium high-level vintages winning awards on a National and International scale. Tassie is mainly known for its cool-climate and sparkling wines but more recently becoming more prominent in entry-level wine spheres. These include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris, very popular among the locals and also very affordable. These wines are ideal for large-scale events such as gala dinners, and boy we have some great selections featured in our beverage packages that we think you’re going to really appreciate.
With Gin being on everyone’s lips right now, we thought we would just name a few of our favourites. Poltergeist, don’t let the name scare you off. This is probably one of Tassie’s most popular gins. This unfiltered gin is powerful and big offering an intense range of flavours and aromas.
If you’re looking to add a bit colour to your event, you should consider including McHenry’s Butterfly Gin. Handcrafted in Tasmania this gin is created using the natural botanical Butterfly Pea flower which gives it an intense Asiatic blue colour. When combined with tonic waster it is transformed into an alluring pink blush. A joyous explosion of colour and flavour to brighten any delegates day.
For those who prefer a darker spirt, rest assured, Tasmania produces some of the best of the best. Sullivans Cove’s American Oak is the most awarded whisky in Australia and was awarded “Worlds Best Single Cask Single Malt” at the world whisky awards in 2018. Sullivan’s Cove produces a wide range of high-quality whisky and is a must-have if you really want to impress those whisky enthusiasts.
